The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur has announced an extraordinary start to the 2025-2026 placement season, shattering institutional records with a landmark international package of ₹3.40 Crores. This historic offer was secured by Mr. Aryan Mittal, a student in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (Dual Degree) program, placing NIT Hamirpur firmly on the global map for elite talent.
The achievement is further underscored by an unprecedented wave of recruitment from the world’s most prestigious companies. Corporate giants including Tesla, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, NVIDIA, LinkedIn, Salesforce, JP Morgan, and Samsung have demonstrated their confidence in the institute’s academic rigour by actively recruiting from its student body this session.
Director of the Institute, Prof. H.M. Suryawanshi, expressed his delight at the outstanding placement trends. He announced that the momentum is widespread, with more than 15 students securing packages exceeding ₹40 Lakhs and over 50 students receiving offers of more than ₹30 Lakhs. The institute has broken its own record for the highest package, which now stands at ₹3.40 Crore, a significant jump from last year’s ₹2.05 Crore. Adding to the triumph, the average package has seen a substantial rise to ₹15 Lakhs per annum.
Highlighting the remarkable success of female students, Prof. Suryawanshi noted that Ms. Manasi Joshi of Computer Science has secured an exceptional package of ₹1.0 Crore, while Ms. Yatha Grover and Ms. Vaishali Thakur have secured offers of ₹68 Lakhs each.
Echoing the sentiment of institutional pride, Registrar Dr. Archana Nanoty stated, “This is a very proud moment in the history of NIT Hamirpur, and it is the result of constant efforts made by TPO Dr. Somesh Sharma and his team.” The Director also congratulated the entire placement team and faculty members for their pivotal role in this achievement, noting that the placement drive for the past year culminated in an exceptional 94% success rate.
