Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, who arrived in Hamirpur to participate in the International Women’s Day event, launched a sharp attack on the Sukhu-led government. Speaking at the Circuit House in Hamirpur, Goswami compared the Sukhu government to Nirmal Baba and claimed that while the people of Himachal Pradesh had elected the Congress government for its promises, the government has failed to deliver. She stated that BJP governments have always respected women, and today, the number of BJP MPs in the Rajya Sabha has increased, including women holding positions from President to Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.

Goswami emphasized that the empowerment and strengthening of women in the country have always been a priority during BJP rule. She accused Congress governments of historically limiting women to vote bank politics and favoring only women from one family. Goswami pointed out that the Sukhu government had guaranteed ₹1500 to women, but they are left waiting like devotees of Nirmal Baba, checking their bags daily for the promised money, which never arrives. She said that while women have received Nirmal Baba’s blessings, the Sukhu government has become a government of sorrow. Goswami warned that the Congress party would have to pay for betraying women in the upcoming times.

Addressing discussions about the possible coronation of a BJP woman president, Goswami praised Prime Minister Modi for consistently promoting women and including them in the mainstream of national development. She highlighted that women now hold significant positions, from President to Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, and the number of women Rajya Sabha MPs has risen from just two to 19. Goswami stated that appointing a national president is a matter of national leadership and organization, and no one knows what the future holds. She expressed confidence that women’s future is bright with the BJP.
