Vishal Rana, Hamirpur
Whenever NIT Hamirpur begins to show signs of progress, a gang of abbots springs into action to tarnish the institute’s reputation. This pattern has been observed repeatedly over the years, with certain individuals who have long been associated with NIT Hamirpur anonymously working to undermine the institution to maintain their own influence.
This group is notorious for filing complaints under anonymous names to various bodies, aiming to damage the institute’s image. They then actively promote these fake complaints. The gang has been particularly unsettled since Archana Nainoti’s appointment as the regular registrar after an 11-year gap. Her tenure has seen significant improvements at the institute, including obtaining long-pending permissions for the Architecture Department from the COA, resolving long-delayed staff promotions, and implementing various academic and administrative reforms. These changes have led to a noticeable improvement in NIT Hamirpur’s placement rankings.
However, just before a crucial Board of Governors meeting, an anonymous complaint was registered on the Prime Minister’s portal, presumably orchestrated by this gang, and it is being widely publicized. NIT Director H.L. Suryavanshi commented that this is merely an attempt by disgruntled individuals to defame the institution in response to the positive reforms. He urged the public not to fall for such rumors and assured that the schemes of those trying to discredit this prestigious Himachal institution will never succeed.
NIT Hamirpur stands resilient against the nefarious attempts to undermine its progress. The efforts of a few cannot overshadow the positive strides made under strong leadership. The institution, a beacon of pride for Himachal Pradesh, continues to forge ahead, undeterred by baseless allegations. With a commitment to excellence and integrity, NIT Hamirpur reaffirms its dedication to advancing education and fostering innovation, ensuring its esteemed reputation remains untarnished. The vigilant support of its community and stakeholders will further fortify its standing as a premier national institute.
