Former Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Corporation Vice Chairman Naveen Sharma slammed the Congress-led state government for doubling the minimum bus fare, calling it a cruel burden on the public. At a time when inflation is soaring, this hike will severely impact daily commuters, especially students and working professionals who rely on buses, Sharma said.
He accused the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government of favoring a select few while exploiting the poor and middle class. “The CM’s friends enjoy perks, while the common man bears the cost—this is outright shameful,” Sharma said, demanding an immediate rollback. He warned that the move, combined with halted development and rising unemployment, is making life unbearable for Himachal’s people.
