Nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, Jahu is all set to captivate the state with its rich cultural heritage as it hosts the grand Mewa Utsav from April 24 to 30. The festival promises a dazzling array of events, including a lively fair, cultural performances, and exciting competitions, showcasing the best of local traditions and talents.
Bhoranj MLA Suresh Kumar announced the week-long festivities, which will feature four spectacular cultural evenings. In addition to cultural showcases, the festival will host exhibitions on government schemes and self-help groups, promoting local entrepreneurship. Attendees can also look forward to engaging activities like the Healthy Baby Show, Best Livestock Competition, and various entertainment programs.
During a meeting at the local panchayat office, MLA Suresh Kumar directed officials to ensure seamless coordination for the event’s success. SDM Shashipal Sharma outlined administrative preparations, while Panchayat Pradhan Anuradha Sharma expressed gratitude to authorities, Congress leaders, and local organizations for their support.
The meeting saw the presence of prominent figures, including DSP Lalman Sharma, Tehsildar Dr. Ashish Sharma, SHO Prashant Sharma, Block Congress President Vijay Banyal, and Media Incharge Chandan Kumar, among others.
